'A New Map of Worcestershire Divided into Hundreds'
This authentic, 222 year-old map was engraved by the legendary map maker John Cary. It is hand-coloured and dated very precisely: 'Sept 28 1801.' It measures 64.3 x 54.5 cm and would look great in a frame, possibly in Worcestershire.
Before committing to buy this map, please note the condition.
Most of the map is blemish-free, but there is some water damage (and 'blue-ing') in the bottom margin, and there is a 6cm tear along the seam at the bottom. The latter could easily be repaired by applying acid-free tape on the reverse. There is also some brown staining along the fold, north of Droitwich.
Before mailing, this map will be folded along the natural fold, and dispatched in a cardboard-backed envelope.
